I just wrote the other day the power of music is miraculous. I truly believe this because a friend and mentor of mine reached out to me 20+ years later out of nowhere with words of encouragement I needed in that very moment.

Likewise, this morning I couldn't sleep and I've been processing things, and my wife used a band we both love called Metric; she was going to get donuts for the boys and told me to listen to this song, so I did. Katie's always right, mind you... so I better listen to what she says.

The song is exactly what I needed to hear in that moment. It's the encouragement I needed to keep going. What you'll notice is this band is not a "Hillsong United" type band. But I received the message I needed from a song and band my wife and I have loved over the 18 years we've been together. This proves that not only the power of music is miraculous; it also proves we can receive words of encouragement from all sorts of media, especially if it's sent to us with love and our best interest in heart.
