A Visit to the Brick Kiln
Today is May 31, 2024.
My husband and I went to the brick kiln, and tears came from the eyes after seeing the condition of the Christian people. They have no clothes to wear, no shoes on their feet, no cover to avoid the heat. All the Christians continued to make bricks under the open sky in front of the sun in the heat of 122° degrees Fahrenheit while baking the bricks in the fire. All children and adults have been enslaved by putting cords around their necks.
Children cry from hunger, many unclothed. Some are injured. They work under the hot sun all day to bake bricks in a fire oven, drinking from a drain, eating a starvation diet.
When they work there, there is very little money, so they cannot eat without borrowing from the landlord. And so the landlord continues to lend them bricks for less money. They’re allowed their freedom when they pay off their debts, which are not exorbitant. But they are not getting free from that, because of the way the system is structured. Instead, some families have 3 and 4 generations in these debts.
When we found out, we went to them, gave them food, and consoled them all by preaching the word.
There are many Christian families like these who are helpless, hopeless, and living in unimaginably miserable conditions. Our precious brothers and sisters face persecution, discrimination, hate, exploitation, & pain every single day.
Most of them have paid their loans but still live in slavery because of no education and awareness. Brick kiln owners have so many traps for them that these precious people don't know how to get out of this hell.
We wanted to help these new born babies, young children, young couples and old age people by equipping them with education, awareness and help so they will get out of this awful life. Please pray for us and stand with us so we can get some families out of modern day slavery and human trafficking.
